5. Seulki;suelee

     This project is about creating the visual identity for the fashion and lifestyle brand Seulki;suelee.

Seulki;suelee is for the conscientious sophisticated woman who cares about the social politics surrounding the body. She might ask herself:

“What do the industry’s standard ideals of a body size mean to me?
How do these ideals affect the way I dress?”

     Seulki;suelee is a platform for art and design dealing with the body. It aims to open the market of avant-garde couture fashion for people beyond the standard size limits of luxury fashion.

      To start the process of the logo design I drew out a series of abstract drawings based on the female body. Because the brand is marketed towards larger sizes I wanted to create an attractive abstract image of a voluptuous body.

      I presented digital versions of the drawings and asked the client to select the one they were drawn to. The one circled in red was the chosen logo.

     Suelki;suelee approached me to create their visual identity. The brand is based around a core set of values. Body positivity, elegant tailoring created to suit a variety of body shapes, and an avant gard artistic spirit.

1. Poster
The poster was for an event to showcase the publication A Body which was a self publish artbook about art and design that deals with body politics.


2. Postcard
The image on the right is the postcard made as promotional material for the brand during the event. It features an unconventional version of the logo which are the color swatches.
